OOTN!

Well I was so busy during this week picked up two new clients and was helping another find her b-day outift. I was able to squeeze about an hour of ME time during my days off and this is what I came up with. I feel as if success doesn't sleep and although I may have no time for me knowing that I'm helping someone find their way is priceless. I honestly love what I do and that's just that I have been in some major talks about opening a plus size consignment boutique. I think It is a honestly great idea a lot of my friends spend top dollar for their items that they let sit in their closet for years. Why not trade em in right? Maybe it's just big think but I'm thinking all the same. *fingers crossed*

I choose this Leopard skirt from Torrid that was regularly $49 but with a little search I found a coupon and got it half off! The Vest is from Forever 21 I purchased months ago. I don't remember the price so don't make me lie I'm sure it was under $20. My undershirt is actually a bathing suit for $15 dollars from walmart. My shoes are from Aldo for $110 and I saw a blue pair yesterday for 70% percent off.

I don't know how long this short hair thing is going to work I think I wanna go back to my long hair don't care days. I am going to let you gals vote on it I have an event to attend in january I really want to know what you gals think.

STYLING AND PROFILING!

I met Yashica 5 years ago threw a friend along the years our relationship has recently blossomed into a still growing friendship. She contacted me a few months ago and wanted to revamp her style. she admitted to falling into the mommy phase and was so into catering/raising her toddler son tj that fashion was the last thing on her mind. We talked for hours about her desire to be even casual and fashionable instead of the normal jeans and tee with sneakers. I am a personal shopper/stylist of women plus size and regular size in the Miami area.

 Alot of women don't like to deal with the lines, racks, pairing and matching for special events or even everyday wear. I have to say Yashica was very open minded and very willing to try new things i.e. dresses.  I shopped for her and even came to her home to see what her make-up regimen was like.

She admitted to not really wearing make up and from several family members testimonies they hated how she applied her eyebrows. With just a make up brush from elf and 4 eyebrow powder I was able to show shica how to make her eyebrows more suttle.  I thought that  others point of views during her consultation was great Yashica took it all in stride and really listened and watched me apply her make up to better understand how to apply it on a day to day to basis.  All in Yashica gets A+!

FROM FAT TO SKINNY AND SHE'S STILL NOT HAPPY.........

It was 3:00 am and my smartphone echoed threw my room eyes slightly closed I saw I had a an email. I closed my eyes within another 2 minutes my phone signaled me once again. I sat up in my bed to see what all the fuss was about. The emailed titled I'm skinny and still not happy the title itself made me want to read it just then and there regardless of the time. In a lengthy email I was contacted by Stacey* a follower of NYC who stated she was having a difficult time accepting her new body after a almost 200 lb weight loss.  I immediately emailed her back to ask if it was okay to use her story for my blog and possibly interview her. She quickly responded and the appointment was set up to interview her in 2 days. I was excited the next two days I wrote down questions that I wanted to ask her.

OOTD: NEW YEARS/MENS WEAR INSPIRATION!

As you know Mrs. Kim K and her family make the cutest Christmas cards ever! This year was no exception it was even in 3D. I happened to love Kim's outfit I was just so sure she would wear a dress it seems only fitting. I am definitely going to attempt to recreate this look for new years eve although I spend most of it in church seeing as in how I have to work. I loved her nephews outfit he's just the cutest I swear!

SWAP PARTY REVIEW.....

Well as you gals know I had a Swap Party on Dec 16,2011 and it was a ball. I originally was going to have it at my home but because Boutiques On the Go was hosting their Regular size Meet and Greet I had to combine them to be on the scene! My Good Friend Lucy Lu was in attendance and when I say I love her style I really do. I met Lucy a few years ago and we instantly clicked......Not to mention she is beautiful to say the least. I actually waited around for her to arrive so I could get first look her items. I just knew she had the bomb.com items. She wore the cutest studded shirt at My meet and Greet and was so nice enough after me calling for several days and begging her to bring it to the meet and greet.  Overall I would have another one this time with more BBW or make it specific i.e make up swap, accessories swap, clothes,shoes etc..... here's the pics!

I was given the chance to meet a great/beautiful spoken words artist: Golden. When I say I loved her poems I really did and it made me want to get back into my writing although. I never perform them  I always wanted to. My next event she will be there for sure everyone needs to hear her she rocks! My mother attended the event and although she had no items to swap she just swapped my items lol what are mother for?

STEAL OF THE DAY! DEAL BUSTER EDITION.............

I went to the store to return a purchase that I had bought all of three weeks ago only to discover I LOST THE RECEIPT. welp store credit it was which sucks at times but today I can honestly say I was overwhelmed. I love watches all kinds I think a persons watch says a lot about who they are just like a bag or outfit can. I tend to love  Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Kenneth Cole watches the Most. I love Seiko watched for More Mature Women cause that's real quality right there. Welp there I was with a 40 dollar store credit and I headed straight over to the watch section. I found a Silver Watch and Gold Watch for $4.99 *ya'll know I almost died*. They  look very similar to several of my MK'S watches for the price you can't beat it. I would definetly rock these hence the reason I have two pair. So if you're local this Watch was at Ross at 441 and 215th street there wasn't a lot so you may have to check another store. In my opinion they make a Great Christmas Gift.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Trying to decide what to do next up I'm really like the first on but my nails are now slightly pointed. I really want a tribal look like the last picture. Ladies do you have any go to nail color selections? My go to is OPI mad about you which rocks (look below). I want to try a different look/pattern then my normal I'm open to any suggestions of the sort.

Oh how I love this color but ummmm it's about that time to try something new!

MY NEXT INVESTMENT......

I had the chance to sit down with a make up artist whose make up was so flawless. I couldn't see where it stopped and began. It was during our gal talk that I discovered that she doesn't use make up brushes and hasn't in the last 5 years. I always heard about airbrush make up but to see it applied with so much ease and precision was really amazing. When questioned about where to purchase one she explained her machine cost up to three thousand dollars. Now ya'll know I'm not paying that much money for no machine lol ma ma didn't raise no fool. She actually introduced me to sephora's airbrush machine that was a reasonable price of $225 without the make up which is about $55 dollars a pop. It still beat a three thousand dollar machine this for sure will be my next investment!

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: EMILY OF LOVE AND HIP HOP!

I was so excited to see her without her infamous chinese bang. I happen to love the color the fit is perfect and the cut out design at the top shoes just enough skin to be sexy. I keep high hopes for Emily  rapper Fabulous baby mother who he refused to claim.  She has the looks the career now if we can just get her esteem and self worth a little higher. It's hard loving someone who just won't get right but that's a whole other story in itself.

The sun was beaming threw the floor to ceiling windows that Glen had installed it was almost impossible  getting a good rest in the afternoon. I hadn't been out of bed in over a week except to shower and pick up my delivery from the local Cuban cafe around the corner. It was really sad honestly  I had missed three hair appointment over the past month. It was useless to feel fancy on the outside if I didn't feel it on the inside at all. The man I loved and almost gave myself completely to didn't understand where I was coming from. I received a ton of gifts,flowers, and let's not even start on the jewelry. What he didn't understand that a simple I'm sorry would have done the job. Every delivery truck was turned around and the only thing I managed to keep was his bouquet of chocolate covered Godiva Strawberries. I really wanted him to just hurry up and say sorry already. My phone hadn't rung and he had all but disappeared if it wasn't for his continuous gifts I would have thought the man was dead somewhere. My mother had called and offered her two cents and her continuous quotes of " a man that finds a woman finds a good thing". That woman knew a scripture for any and everything you were going threw I promise.  I hadn't charged my phone in days which meant no status updates on fb or twitter the world  automatically went  looking for me.

OOTN: ALL BLACK EVERYTHING....

Hey Girlies! If you don't keep in contact with me on fb then you probably wouldn't know i have been without my poor little camera for about two weeks now. I ended up having to get a total new one for those of you wondering what kind of camera I use . I currently used a Nikon D3100 it retailed me about $900 with add ons and warranty. It's actually on sale at best by for about $679 which is a great steal if you ask me. I was contacted by one of my followers on fb to do a  skinny jeans with heels look so here goes! Most of my OOTN are usually dresses but I attended church and took the chance to rock some pants. Oh and before I forget my hair has changed once again. My stylist gave me a very classic yet funky roll. tell me what you think. My hair is and will always change depending on my mood I'm tapping into my Chrisette Michelle lol

MEET AND GREET RECAP....

As you know I had my first Miami Meet and Greet this past Friday. I was contacted by the lovely owner of boutiques on the go Artravia to host a plus size forum. I was so happy to meet the ladies and style a few let's not even began to talk about our girl talk. I can honestly say I learned a few things and met a lot of new people. We talked we laughed and most of all we we're open enough as women to do so. There were a few smaller women who attended the event some we're shy while others were very outspoken when it came down to asking me questions. I would say be sure to check out Boutiques on the Go Miami on fb simply because she is offering things in plus size that otherwise may not be available. Although her online store hasn't been launched she actually sells her items threw fb as long as  you pay her in a timely manner on pay pal.

One Tip was from My Friend Lucina who said when she was at the point of not feeling secure in her body she would wear spanx body shapers for her midsection. I thought about the concept and honestly it makes since shapers can easily be transformed to a piece of lingerie. It makes it far more comfortable for some if the midsection is not exposed.
