MAKING IT LOOK EASY!

I was friends with Marvelous sisters far before I even knew who she was I can remember surfing face book and coming across her page and I instantly requested her. Along the years I have noticed her post and of course pics and felt really inspired. Some people think that being plus size stops at size 18/20 well ladies it doesn't. When I first approached Marvelous About interviewing her and asked her size she confidentially stated a 30/32. Upon first posting the news of this interview a reader stated "I"m concerned for her health". After speaking with Marvelous I am not concerned at all. she is a woman who knows what she wants who she is and what to do about it.

AFB: where does your confidence come from?
Marvelous: My confidence comes from my self esteem and my upbringing, nobody born confident. It's something instilled in from a little girl. I believe self-confidence is the difference between being scared and being passionate; it’s how we feel about ourselves and what we can accomplish.

AFB: have you considered weight loss?Marvelous:NEVER When I was younger  but now that I'm older yes!! I'm starting to cut back and cut out alot of my favorite fatty foods, I'm a junk food fanatic I need help!!

AFB: has you weight ever bothered you or made you stronger?stronger because some people can be so judgmental when it comes to plus sized people. Don't view me as being lazy or depressed that's not the case on my behalf.

AFB: What does Fashion  mean to you?Marvelous: It means everything to me 'cause fashion helps you express "yourself"  therefore it should always be based on what you find interesting and no one else!!! Its a expression of my inner self and not a reflection of every one's expectation of what should be expressed!! Fashion is something to be enjoyed! Think of it as a form of art you should have fun with it. If you don't enjoy it, it's not worth it.  Fashion is about happiness and experimentation,  feeling good about how you look, and putting together new outfits.
AFB: What are some of your favorite trends that are happening right now? strips, leopard print, maxi dresses, leggings, scarves, hats, flats and color blocking.

AFB: What are your 3 favorite hot spots to hit and find fab pieces?
Marshall's, torrid, avenue, and lane bryant

Marvelous Tips! always be daring, unique, and bold don't be afraid to experiment or express yourself!!!
choose clothes that flatter you how to achieve stylish, they should fit nice and neat with a crisp appearance.
keep up with the latest trends, I read a lot of magazines and just put my own twist to it.!
-accessories is a must always add a watch, necklace, earring, belt, ring, headband something without over doing it..

AFB: Who do you look up to in the fashion industry?
 ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
 TOM FORD
 YVES SAINT LAURENT

  5. i'm glad she is considering weight loss, I love her confidence but i can honestly say that i am worried about her weight, the human body just wasn't made for this, and while I had to learn the hard way with blood pressure so high that my kidneys are damaged and type two diabetes, i'm on 13 pills a day to keep myself half way functioning, i miss out on a lot just because i'm so tired and always close to a bathroom because my kidneys are messed up. All because of my weight, and i've never been over 230, so i can only imagine.

It's a big reality check at my age and to know that I went so long without knowing because of insurance, and when i finally got meds they don't work unless i'm on the highest dosage. While i think it's really important to have confidence in yourself I have to say that caring for yourself is the ultimate confidence. I know this is all about fashion, and confidence but it broke my heart to see this, especially after burying my friend a couple of months ago, this size, 24 years old and just died of a cardiac arrest because of the strain on her heart to pump in her condition. great post and great interview, and good luck on your lifestyle changes girly.
